As the year 2016 ends, UFC keeps ends its own year on a high-note in Toronto, Canada. UFC 206 is headlined by two of the division’s (and the sport’s) most dynamic fighters, Max Holloway and ex-champ Anthony Pettis. The headliners served as a replacement for heavyweight Title fight between Daniel Cormier and Anthony Johnson until Cormier had to withdraw from the fight after suffering an injury. Hence this fight made the most sense to replace a main event.
Winner of this fight will most likely move up to face the current Champion, Jose Aldo, who has recently replaced Conor McGregor as featherweight kingpin after legal complications forced McGregor to relinquish his title.
Holloway is on a nine fight winning streak and looks to make it an even 10 whereas, Pettis Is an ex-champion with a recent submission win of Charles Oliveira.
The winner of the UFC 206 will be rewarded a fight with Jose Aldo – the current featherweight Champ.
