Rowdy is Back! After her devastating and fateful loss from Holy Holm at UFC 193, the UFC women’s sensation Ronda Rousey is returning to the octagon ring this Friday on December 30th at UFC 207, against the reigning bantamweight champion Amanda Nunes.
Even though she is still firm favorite to win the most anticipated fight of the year, there are some serious doubts in the minds of everyone who is following the sport. Despite her only loss of the career, the 29-year-old remains the biggest mainstream star of UFC after the two division champion Conor McGregor.
Many people raised questions about Rowdy’s mindset and ability to come back strongly after the fighter confessed of having suicidal thoughts after her loss. These fears remain among many UFC fans as she prepares herself for a comeback. She is so focused on her objective right now that she has boycotted most of her media related commitments prior to the fight. She know that another loss might be enough to end her UFC career, therefore she is not taking any risks.
Former UFC fighter Dan Hardy believes Rousey’s only chance would be if she comes in absolutely fierce and try to bully her opponent in the 1st round.
Hardy said: “It’s imperative that she comes in with confidence, and if she doesn’t, that’s when the tides are going to turn for her. That’s the question. We just don’t know where her confidence is at.”
The fight will happen on Friday 30th December at the T-Mobile Arena in Paradise, Nevada.
